Understanding the challenges of needing financial assistance, we sincerely wish we could grant full scholarships to all attendees. However, due to budget constraints primarily supported by registration fees, Blue Lake Christian Writers Conference can offer a limited number of scholarships, providing up to 50 percent off the registration cost based on demonstrated need and available funds. Please note that scholarships do not cover paid critiques or transportation costs.

Contribution Expectations for Scholarship Recipients

Scholarship recipients will be asked to assist with various tasks at the conference for two hours per day for a total of six hours.

Before Applying for a Scholarship, Please Consider the Following

1. Spiritual Reflection: Seek guidance from the Lord regarding your contribution towards the registration fee. If you can manage with less than a 50 percent discount, we encourage you to apply for the minimum necessary to allow others the opportunity to attend.

2. Community Support: Discuss your need with your pastor, Sunday school class, small group, or a Christian friend who might support your journey.

3. Utilize Your Skills: If you have special skills, consider offering them in exchange for part of your scholarship. Be sure to detail these skills in your scholarship application.

4. Promote the Conference: Help spread the word about the conference in your local churches and among friends. For every new attendee you refer (not previously on our mailing list) who registers and mentions your name in the registration form’s comment box, you’ll receive a $25 credit toward your registration fee. This not only assists you but also extends the reach of the conference.
